Learning Arabic For Beginners [Part 2] - Isim and Fi3il

Hello there!

This post will generally talk about an introduction of my two main goals for my first level of Arabic class from my online course, which are Verb and Noun. So basically we are ordered to understand on how conjugating some root words. Yup, like in Spanish, Arabic has root words and they will  be changed based on subject and time. Some has formula but many don't *ugh*

So, let's start!

First of all, we will learn about these two things:

1. Isim ( الاِسْمُ )
What is Isim? Isim is known as noun. For Arabic nouns, it also has the gender system which are:
 feminine ( مُؤَنَّثْ : muannath)
 masculine ( مُذَكَّرْ : mudzakkar)

And based on the amount of noun, in Arabic it has:
singular (only one) : الاِسْمُ الْمُفْرَدْ Isim Mufrad
 dual (two) : الاِسْمُ الْتَّثْنِيَّةٌ Isim Tathniyyah
 plural (three or more) : الاِسْمُ الْجَمْعُ Isim Jam3a

2. Fi3il ( الْفِعْلُ )
What is Fi3il? Fi3il is known as verb. For beginners like me, I try to understand step by step of the conjugation system of Arabic because it's a little more complicated. So, for the next couple of posts, I will write down:

a. Fi3il Madhy ( الْفِعُ الْمَاضِيْ ) : Past verbs / preterito
b. Fi3il Mudhari3 ( الْفِعْلُ الْمُضَارِعْ ) : Continuous verbs
c. Fi3il Amar ( الْفِعْلُ الاَمَرْ ) : Imperative verbs
