The story was back in Spain’s civil war in 1944, when a girl named Ofelia, that is very obsessed with fairy tale, move into his step father’s camp at a kind of forest downhill as he is a a ruthless captain of the Spanish army with her pregnant mother. There, she starts her fairy tale journey after she met a faun in the middle of labyrinth. The faun told her that she was a princess but to make it really sure, he asks some terrifying tasks for her to do. If she could pass the tasks soon she’ll gather with her royal family as her biologic father is the king, but if she fail, she will never meet them.

But then, in a war, there must be a violence that exists. It also happens in this movie. Giving a surprisingly sad story that could make you feel a bit shocking is the other kind of taste that given by this movie by Guillermo del Toro. With the betrayal and some rebel, also the bad luck that happen to Ofelia, you will find this movie quite entertaining.
